Framing & Printing

It's really important to me that the prints I supply people with are of the highest quality while being as environmentally friendly as possible. So I'm working with The Print Space who I've trusted to print my images for decades they are 100% end-to-end cardon neutral.

Here's some details about the process

Print Process

C-Type printing (Chromogenic)

  • Process: Digital data (from camera or scanned film) is used to expose color photographic paper (silver halide) with RGB lasers, mimicking traditional darkroom exposure.

  • Development: The exposed paper goes through chemical baths (developer, bleach, fixer) and washing, similar to classic darkroom prints, but with digital precision.

  • Tone & Color: It produces true continuous tones, delivering smooth gradients, rich colors, and accurate skin tones that inkjet (Giclée) prints struggle to match, giving prints a tactile, photographic depth.

Paper

C Type Fuji Matt Paper

Fuji Crystal Matte Paper, primarily Fujifilm Crystal Archive DPII Matte, is a high-quality, professional silver halide colour paper known for exceptional image stability, vibrant colors, deep blacks, and brilliant whites with a semi-matt finish.

The paper is coated with a slightly stippled texture giving a very natural photographic finish with subtle colour.

Great versatile paper, very natural and works well with all photographic images.

Maintains colours in a very natural way, giving a detailed, 3-dimensional beautiful photographic reproduction.

Framing details

Colours

To keep things simple, we offer three options of frames. Black, White and Oak. All are a premium semi mat finish.

Frame Suppliers

We use Neilsen Quadrum for our picture frames. Quadrum picture frames are made in Germany from FSC®-certified wood.

Wood Materials

The wood comes from sustainably managed forests that meet the criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council. The Oak frames are solid wood from FSC®-certified sources with an Oak veneer

Window Material

As these prints are all fairly large, rather than glass, we use a very high quality 3mm clear acrylic to prevent damage during transit. The frames are also equipped with an acid-free insert and a sturdy rear panel.

Hanging Fixtures

The hanging type fixture on the reverse panel is ‘Nail hanging’. Frames are equipped with hangers in portrait and landscape format. Here is how the fixture looks on the reverse of the frame:
