There's a lot going on with this image for me. I was on on a photo road-trip around Eastern California and I found myself drawn to these industrial processing structures, bleached and baked in the Californian sun. The functional brutality of the geometry is as fascinating as it is baffling to me.
I followed my muse and shot this image from the roadside just off the interstate, went back to my hotel and developed the images (in the bathroom) because I was worried about the x-ray scanners in LAX.
Only on returning home did it strike me how similar it was to the Rust map
